Peach Pie recipe

All-American peach pie featured in a diner-style recipe. Served with a scoop or two of ice cream, this dish melts in your mouth.


1 cup crushed peaches
1 cup sugar
½ cup water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
One nine-inch baked pie crust
4 cups fresh peach slices
Ice cream, for serving


1. In a medium pot, combine crushed peaches, sugar, water, cornstarch, and butter. Cook over medium heat until clear and thick, stirring to prevent burning. Set aside to cool.

2. Arrange peach slices evenly over bottom of pie crust. Pour cooled peach mixture over sliced peaches. Chill thoroughly and serve with ice cream.
